The community was started by a handful of Berlin hostels. The current speaker and lead is Alexander Dolle-Koch, director of the Coffee INN Hostel Berlin in Schöneberg.
Owners, general managers, operations managers and heads of marketing or reservations at hostels in Berlin. Usually one or two people per hostel, more at larger houses.
Yes, and that is precisely the point. There is no formal NDA, but a shared understanding: what is discussed here stays here. Anyone who breaks that is no longer in the group. We do not engage in price fixing, of course – however good relations between many hostels are, in the end we remain competitors.
Immediately. Whoever reports posts straight to everyone – there is no review step costing hours. Responsibility for the content therefore rests with the person reporting. Any report can be withdrawn at any time, and the speaker can remove it if someone objects.
Stored in Germany, GDPR-compliant, no third-party tracking, no advertising pixels. Member data is visible only to other members – never public and not indexable by search engines.
Especially then. The group is open to career changers, new general managers and recently taken-over hostels. Just introduce yourself in person at the next meet-up.
