Which channel manager actually works? Three hours of comparison sites – or a ten-minute answer from a group where 50 colleagues are weighing the same decision. A closed group for general managers, owners and operations managers.

Typical questions
Who is switching, who is happy, what prices are realistic.
First-hand reports from hostels running it – not from the brochure.
Who delivers, who only costs you time, which contracts work.
Whether a new requirement affects only you or is heading for everyone.
There is no NDA and no code of conduct. There is a shared understanding that has held up well so far.
The line is not a discussion forum. Most messages are questions somebody else already has the answer to: which laundry delivers on Saturdays? Who has experience with the new registration form procedure? Does anyone know a locksmith who turns up at three in the morning and does not charge triple?
On top of that: warnings about tradespeople who took the money and never delivered, notes on nearby building sites and closures, and occasionally a search for beds – when a house is overbooked, someone in the group usually helps out within minutes.
Not a sales channel. Suppliers, software vendors and agencies are not in the group, and promoting yourself is the fastest way back out. That is not harassment: the moment a professional group becomes a marketplace, it stops being a professional group.
Not a pricing round either. We are competitors and remain so – room rates, occupancy and discounts are not discussed. That is not only a matter of decency but of competition law.
And no substitute for the guest alert. Reports about individual guests belong in the distribution list built for them, where they are logged and have a deletion deadline – not in a chat history nobody can survey any more.
Through membership registration. After verification – we check that the person really works at the house they name – you receive the invitation link. One or two people per house, more in large houses where operations and reservations work separately.
